The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling once was one of the most loved cartoon comics by the kids of 60s. The animated series of the Jungle Book made its debut in 1967. Later the tradition went on and on, and for a longer period of time it was one of the most loved comic cartoons among the kids of 70s, 80s, 90s and even kids from 2000. I remember watching the series of Jungle Book, especially waiting for Mowgli back in early 2000. Those were, of course one of the golden periods of anyone’s life. But with remake of Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book by Disney doesn’t really look like all that bright and motivating. I’m not sure how I really feel about the upcoming remake.

The director Jon Favreau (also directed the popular series of Iron Man) has beautifully created a dark and moody world for these creatures and Mowgli to roam in. Neel Sethi, a 10-year-old newcomer has been casted to play as Mowgli in the remake of Jungle Book 2016, as a boy raised by wolves in the Indian jungle. Also, the short sequence of the fight between Bagheera and Shere Khan really does look a lot thrilling, and definitely is enough to give me goosebumps.

The Trailer of The Jungle Book, 2016 is 1 minute 40 seconds long, and is voice-overed by Scarlett Johansson, which brings more tension into the sequence along with some dark music playing in the background. Making it all set and right for a perfect thrilling action movie.

So far so good, right now am not really sure how this remake will stand up to the marks of the 1967 classics, and if people will still love this new Mowgli as the old ones.

That being said, Disney is now trying their best to draw people to the theatre when it releases on 15th April, 2016. You have Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Christopher Walken as King Louie, Lupita Nyong’o as Raksha and even Bill Murray as Baloo.

Given the fact that Disney has lot of action-remakes to make this year, it’s going to a big pressure on them to make The Jungle Book 2016 Remake a lot noticeable.
