Huawei’s smartphone e-brand Honor, launched it’s latest flagship Honor 8 along with two other smartphones, namely Honor 8 Smart and Honor Holly 3.
Honor 8 brings the similar dual camera (RGB + B&W) technology earlier seen on the Huawei P9, on a lower price tag. Of course, the experience isn’t very similar as the Huawei P9, but that’s something you come to expect when you cut the corners in order to lower the price point.
Honestly speaking, the Honor8 could’ve been priced at somewhere around Rs 25,000 INR to be a great deal and probably one of the best smartphone in that price bracket. But Honor has decided to sell their newest flagship the Honor 8 at a staggering price tag of Rs 29,999 INR.
Huawei Honor 8 Specifications-
The Huawei Honor8 comes with a standard 5.2 inches of 1080x1920p display with a pixel density of 423 PPI. Apart from that, the Honor 8 comes with Huawei made in-house processor, Kirin 950.
The Kirin 950 is a Octa-Core chip that comes with 4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex A53 processor. It also comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB of onboard memory.

Use Of Kirin 950 Processor
Not just the use of Kirin processors in the Huawei P9 or Honor 8, but in other Huawei and Honor smartphones as well gives Huawei a big edge over any other major smartphone manufacturers as the proper hardware compatibility falls into the play. Letting the brand use full potential of the hardware and optimizing the system for best performance. Kirin 950 is a very capable chipset and it surely can help Honor 8 perform well and set high benchmarks along with it’s competitors.
Dual Camera On The Honor 8
So just like the Huawei’s latest flagship, P9. Even the Honor 8 comes with the dual camera technology. One of the sensor is solely responsible for clicking black and white images and the other sensor is responsible for clicking colorful RGB images. Due to the fact that a dedicated monochrome sensor is dedicated for capturing all the details in the highlights and shadows, makes the images stand out and the details to pop out. From the highlights to deep blacks, it captures all of them quite perfectly. Mix it with the RGB sensor and the results are just sheer beauty.
Even though, the fact that the Honor8 comes packed with great set of hardware, features and a camera so great, it makes it almost impossible for anyone to ignore the images that comes out of the Honor 8. But given the price point, it’s almost very ruthless to say that it’s bit too over-priced for what it offers.
Although, for consumers in the photography niche it will be a great deal. But for those who don’t click a lot of photos on their smartphone and would want something more at a similar price point, it will be difficult for them to justify the Rs 30,000 INR price tag.
