One of the largest mobile manufacturing giant, Gionee on September 1, 2015, announced its brand new fashion and lifestyle F series smartphone in India. Gionee F Series F103 is the latest and the first smartphone of this series and is supposed to represent the Fashion and Diva class.

With Gionee F series F103 being the first member of the F series. It is targeted at young Indian customers who desire both style quotient as well as latest feature loaded in their device. The mobile manufacturing giant says the F103 provides a rich user experience as well as a premium feel attached to it due to its mirror glass finish back which was also seen in their previous model before the launch of F-series, the Gionee S7.
Talking about the technical features which gives every smartphone it’s required edge to be over other. Gionee F series F103 is powered by Quad-core 64 bit MediaTek MT6735 processors clocked at 1.3 GHz. Speaking of the 5-inch screen resolution, it has a resolution of 1280x 720px and is an IPS Dragontrail display. Gionee F series F103 will run on the latest Android lollipop operating system with Amigo 3.0 User Interface skin over it. It would have been better if the screen offered full HD resolution.
Talking about the camera, the Gionee F series F103 exhibits an 8-megapixel primary camera with rear autofocus and an aperture of f/2.2 and flash. And a 5-megapixel secondary camera.
Gionee F103 has an inbuilt 16 GB ROM and is powered by 2GB random access memory. Apart from 4g, dual sim the smartphone comes with all the basic feature that other smartphone offer at this price range such as Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB connectivity options. In the end, the device gets all its nutrient to function from a 2400 mAh battery.
In India, the device will come in three different avatars those are Pearl White, Dawn White and Black colours.
Announcing F series smartphone’s first face The Gionee F103, Timir Baran Acharyya, GM, Gionee India said, “With our F series we have achieved to get both design and performance in one device and consumers gets the best from both the worlds. F103 is a power packed device a great design which not only gives a great performance but also adds the style quotient to the consumer who carries it out.”
But the question is while trying to give the taste of both the worlds which are style and feature. Will it be able to woo the valued customer? Or will it get an average response as the previous smartphone did that is the Gionee S7, which was promised to be great in its range but only managed to get an average response.
At this price range of Rs 9999, it faces a stiff competition from others. Competitors like Yu smartphones and Xiaomi’s Redmi series have already set their foot firmly on the market.
