Recently the Taiwanese smartphone giant Asus launched 6 new devices in their global launch event so-called Asus Zenfestval in New Delhi, India. Asus called quite a good number of media and press to check out their brand new releases of their smartphones. Most of them were targeted towards very specific audience in a very low price tag. But that one device that replaced it’s previous flagship Asus Zenfone 2 is the brand new Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe. And I can tell you it is an incremental update instead of a whole brand new device with some over-whelming specifications. You can call it the ‘s’ version if you will. So just like the Asus Zenfone 2, the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe is also called the ZE551ML and the similarities doesn’t ends there. There is more to it.
It also comes with the same 5.5 inches of FullHD 1920x1080p display, although some early hands-on report have suggested that the viewing angles are not that great. But again, before commenting anything on that I would first check out the device myself and then let you know my opinions on that.
So the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe or any other Zenfones for that matter is powered by ZenUI which in my opinion offers a lot of value even though it fills up the device mostly with a lot of bloat. There are few nifty software tricks up the sleeves of the Asus ZenUI which not only makes it an intuitive UI, but also offers value to the end consumer. Like Asus BoostMaster fast-charge technology, which can charge up your device upto 60% in 39 minutes (as claimed by Asus).
But apart from all these hardware upgrades, the most stand out feature of the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe is the back panel, which is gorgeous and the new multifaceted polygonal finish accentuating the signature Zenfone 2 Ergonomic Arc, feels like a very nice design go through. It not only looks and feels premium, but all the geometrical shapes just screams out all the hardwork and efforts put in by the Asus engineers while designing this product. Now the M.D. of Asus, Peter Chang claims that all the polygons on the back are connected with each other, making it quite a difficult art of engineering.
So till now, in my opinion the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe is a beautiful piece or art with some decently high-end specifications. Which can definitely give a run to other flagship smartphones a big run for their money. It feels great in hand, and in terms of performance it works just as good as any other flagship out there, without any lag, stutter or jitteriness.
